Park Overview:
The entrance to Gedney Park can easily trick you into think it is only a playground, sledding hill, or 9/11 Memorial. Stop and discover the network of interesting trails.
Park Description:
The trails in Gedney Park offer opportunities to walk your dog off leash, learn about Native Americans or ecology, and to hike through wetlands, woodlands, and edge environments. The trail to the 9/11 Memorial is handicapped accessible.
A locked gate prevents access to the southern parking areas when ball fields are closed for the season. Dogs are permitted off leash, but not in the area around the playground.
Trails Overview:
The trails in Gedney Park have some relatively flat sections with gentle ups and downs and some short steep sections. In addition to three interpretive trails, there is a handicapped accessible paved path running from the parking lot to a fishing pier on the lake. Short access trails connect to the longer trails in the park.
